So you're 32.1 think I remember what that was like. :) No, I don't think you don't know anything because you're under 40, all right? I'm not judging you on that basis, or any basis, for that matter.

A> Yes, I am with someone. Her name is Sally Edwards and she is 41.

An older woman, huh?

A> Are you in a relationship now? If so, for how long and what does she do, etc.?

Yes, I am. Her name's Kip Adams and she's a therapist. We've been together for 14 years. She's away for a month giving a lecture series.

My office was burglarized last night. Totally destroyed. It's an awful feeling ... sort of like being raped. I'm pretty sure I know who did it ... one of the men who really did rape me years ago ... I told you about this. He's called me and threatened me. This is frightening and something I have to deal with alone, as Kip's not here. I'm not going to tell her when we speak because there's nothing she can do from there and it'll worry her. I've informed the FBI, so to speak. I say it that way because I've been in touch with one person there.

As for the case I'm working on, I've got a new lead but the work it involves is almost overwhelming. Now with Cecchi out of commission, I have to do all of it myself because I don't have that kind of relationship with anyone else on the force.
